Forbes recently outlined what leaders will need to master in 2026, and the list looks very different from even a few years ago.
Managing agentic workflows.
Understanding AI ethics.
Stewarding data responsibly.
Strengthening emotional intelligence.
Building learning agility.
What stands out is that none of these skills live in isolation. Technology, ethics, data, and people are now deeply intertwined. Leaders are being asked to make decisions that are both technically informed and human-centered at the same time.
This is about becoming fluent enough to lead responsibly, versus becoming a technologist and relying on others who are experts too.
Which of these skills do you think leaders need to learn most now?
